We will discuss here how to spot a state of chronic fatigue, the many causes of this fatigue, but also the role of diet in this daily exhaustion and finally how food supplements and essential oils will help you bounce back.
What are the symptoms of chronic fatigue?
This chronic disease causes constant exhaustion: sufferers cannot find restful sleep despite having a large number of hours of sleep. Insomnia and other sleep disorders (many awakenings) are more and more present.
This state of fatigue generally lasts more than 6 months and is difficult to live with on a daily basis. Indeed, it is a deep fatigue that is felt and not just a drop in energy after an effort: people with the disease say they are constantly exhausted. It then becomes very difficult to recover your energy after a more or less intense activity.
Chronic fatigue syndrome can even cause cognitive impairment, such as loss of concentration, headaches, and physical pain in some people. The symptoms are varied and the causes of the disease sometimes difficult to find because CFS affects all ages and genders.
What are the causes of chronic fatigue?
There are a lot of factors involved in chronic fatigue. We often say that it is more of a symptom and we will find out what could have caused this syndrome. They can be due to everyday events but also to very specific diseases which affect some of your organs. So before trying to get better and compensate for this lack of energy, it is time to find its cause in order to have the right diagnosis and the right treatment for this disease.

- Resistance to cortisol.
- Sensitivity, gluten / gliadin intolerance.
- Blood sugar problems.
- An imbalance of the gut microbiota and therefore inflammation of the brain.
- The dysfunction of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HHS).
- Endocrine disruptors.
- A disturbed immune system (visible by the onset of inflammation such as chronic asthma, eczema, chronic sinusitis, hives, gastroesophageal reflux disease, lupus, ulcerative colitis, repeated viral infections or herpes).
The role of diet in chronic fatigue
It is true that if chronic fatigue is caused by external events or identified diseases, diet has a huge role in the duration of this state. Indeed, the causes cited above exhaust our body and our classic meals do not necessarily provide us with the nutritional needs necessary to put everything in order. Eat a balanced diet and healthy products, avoid snacking: in short, improve your quality of life and your diet.
If you have a compromised immune system, there are some foods you should avoid consuming in order to limit inflammation and feel better faster:
- Very high dose of gluten.
- Coffee beyond 2 / day.
- Tea beyond 2 / day.
- Fruits and vegetables from the nightshade family: eggplants, peppers, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, physalis.
- Foods rich in lectins that have not been soaked for 12 hours and cooked: lentils, chickpeas.

How do you get out of a state of chronic fatigue?
Once you have identified the origins of your chronic fatigue and changed your diet, you can help your body to eliminate this syndrome. Be careful, some symptoms may take longer or shorter to heal! However, taking chronic fatigue supplements is a good start and can help you get back to restful and peaceful sleep.
Food supplements when you are sedentary
Your lifestyle and workload do not necessarily allow you to move enough, so your needs are different for someone who plays sports occasionally or intensively. We advise you to supplement yourself first to build a healthy foundation and then add 3 specific food supplements and super foods.
Food supplements when you are an occasional or intensive athlete

Then, break down your breath into 4 steps:
- keep the air in your lungs for a while,
- breathe out through your mouth slightly open,
- wait a few moments before inhaling.
And start the cycle again. If you’re under stress, it should even soothe you a bit.
Essential oils against chronic fatigue
Essential oils can also help you, they are an essential natural supplement for health and food foundations. However, they should be used sparingly because its therapeutic action is stronger.
Before each start of a meal for 15 days / 1 week of stopping and then resumed until the disappearance of chronic fatigue, add in half a teaspoon of olive oil:
- 1 drop of EO lemon (citrus limon)
- 1 drop of ravintsara EO
- 1 drop of HE noble laurel
- 1 drop of EO peppermint
To help you, make yourself an essential oil lotion that you will apply to the lower back / lumbar region and to the inside of the wrists. Be careful, the dosage differs depending on your gender.
For women: in a little sesame or hazelnut vegetable oil, add 3 drops of EO ravintsara and 3 drops of EO black spruce.
